What is SMSTS?

The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course is a five day programme for site managers, supervisors, and anyone responsible for planning, organising, and managing construction site activities. It covers health and safety legislation, CDM Regulations 2015, risk assessments, site setup, hazard control, occupational health, and environmental responsibilities.

The course helps construction site managers to:

Manage health, safety, and environmental responsibilities on site in line with current legislation
Apply industry best practice and current guidance
Understand responsibility and accountability for site safety, welfare, and the environment
Recognise that a safe site is efficient, productive, economical, and environmentally responsible

Course Information

Duration: 5 Days

Delivery: This course is delivered in person at AccXel.

Accommodation: If you’re travelling to attend training, accommodation is available through our partner hotel, The Belfry Hotel, located 2 miles from AccXel.

*If you are a CITB registered company, you may be able to claim back 80% of accommodation costs. Eligibility depends on the course and CITB grant requirements. Please contact us for more information.*
