What is a Building Services Engineering Senior Technician?

A Building Services Engineering Senior Technician’s role is to bring the built environment to life by connecting the buildings we live and work in. They ensure they meet the needs of the people, plants, and services they need to accommodate, whilst providing comfort, building safety, security, and efficiency through ever increasing environmental safeguarding.

Building Services Engineers use their technical knowledge to address problems with building service systems within a building. The main types of building service systems apprentices will study:

  • Mechanical (Heating, ventilation and cooling)

Building Services Engineering Senior Technician Apprenticeship course details

Our Building Services Engineering Senior Technician Apprenticeship is 24 months.

The first week of the programme will be an induction, in which apprentices receive health & safety and safeguarding training, as well as participate in team building exercises. The apprenticeship will then be delivered as a block release programme.

Our apprenticeship combines classroom learning and site visits to allow apprentices to practice their skills learnt during theory sessions.

Upon competition of the apprenticeship programme, you will also gain a Level 4 HNC in Building Services Engineering.
